Flipkart GRiD 7.0 – Software Development Challenge 2025: GRiD is Flipkart’s Flagship Engineering Campus Challenge which provides you with the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge and skills, to compete and complete key challenges. Now in its fourth edition, Flipkart GRiD becomes bigger & better, bringing real-world problem statements from the world of E-Commerce to the brightest engineering minds across the globe! With GRiD 7.0, you now get a chance to leap into Flipkart’s World of Maximisation, and explore networking and complex problem solving that is aimed towards some of the finest e-commerce challenges of today. Participants will present their solutions to Flipkart experts, with opportunities for grand prizes, recognition, and job offers.The detailed eligibility, application process and registration process are given below:
Eligibility & Team Rules
- This competition is open to students pursuing B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/M.S or related Engineering Programs across ALL Engineering Colleges in India (Batch 2026, 2027, 2028 & 2029)
- Individuals will be required to register as solo participants. The same should be done within the mentioned deadline, ensuring that only accurate data is being submitted. Failure to do so will result in immediate disqualification.
- The batch of 2025 is not eligible to participate in this competition
- The participating student can be from any specialization
- Any deviation from the above will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team
Flipkart GRiD 7.0 – Software Development Challenge: Stages and Timelines
Round 1: Screening
The registered candidates will undergo a screening process where their academic performance and consistency, along with non-academic achievements and other accolades will be considered. The shortlisted candidates will proceed to the next stage.
Round 2: Coding Assessment
The shortlisted candidates will then appear for a proctored coding assessment that will consist of 3 questions to be attempted in 90 minutes, covering languages like Python, Java, C, C++ etc.. The scores will be calculated based on the clearance of test cases for these questions, and the ones which are equal to or higher than the cutoff score will move to the next round.

Round 3: Case Study-based Code
The shortlisted candidates will receive a business problem statement of Flipkart and will be asked to solve the same through Tech. This will require you to build a tool or system level solution for the proposed problem, and share the code for the same. The detailed brief of the round will be given to the relevant participants when the round will go live.

Round 4: National Finals
The Top 48 candidates will be selected for the grand finale round, and will be invited to the Flipkart Headquarters in Bangalore, for the final evaluation. The selected candidates will be asked to form teams of 4, develop a prototype based on the solutions submitted by them in the previous round, and come prepared with a live demo of the working prototype. The Flipkart leadership jury will evaluate them based on the same, and the top 6 teams (24 candidates) will be awarded. The detailed brief of the round will be given to the relevant participants when the round will go live.

Hiring Process of Flipkart GRiD 7
Post round 3, subject to clearance of collated evaluation score of the submission, and based on the year of study, the candidates will be shortlisted for either summer internship, winter internship, or full-time opportunities. The details of the process will be shared at a later stage for the relevant participants via their respective platforms.

*For international participants, the prize value would be based on the currency conversion rate prevailing at the time of prize disbursement.

- Top 20 teams per college
- Level 1 qualifying teams

Career Opportunities
- Top teams who qualify for level 2 will get a chance to be a part of the hiring process for internship and full-time tech roles at Flipkart
- Teams who reach the finale get a PPI for a software tech role (internship/full time)
