The Application Developer Specialist IT understands the user requirements, validates such requirements with the stakeholders and delivers software design, software development, and unit testing services that support business requirements. This job is also competent in identification, recording and reporting of IT Components (Software, Hardware and all associated documents), including the versions, essential components and their relationships for a product.
What you will do:
- Perform coding, unit testing and documentation of software units defined by the design document
- Participate in software modification during integration testing
- Adhere to the project/assignment timelines as agreed with the Project Manager or other authorized personnel
- Develop efficient software according to business requirements within given time frame
- Ensure compliance with relevant Group IT processes, methods and tools, and business processes
- Ensure applicable IT security directive is followed for the service
- Understand requirements from the stakeholders and documenting such requirements under the guidance of Application Developer Specialist IT Step C or above
- Propose changes that make the system more efficient and/or reduces operation or maintenance cost
- Create good practices and propose improvements
