Walmart invites students who are graduating in 2024 and 2025 to take part in CodeHers, India’s biggest coding challenge, exclusively for women. CodeHers is your passport to join Walmart Global Tech India and innovate for the Fortune #1 company. This challenge is an opportunity for young women from engineering colleges across India to land their dream job. Top coders will be shortlisted and interviewed virtually for full-time software development engineering roles at Walmart Global Tech India. The roles offered will be based out of Bangalore or Chennai offices.

Qualification and Skills Required for Walmart hiring

CodeHers 2024 is open to female students across all engineering colleges in India who are pursuing the following degrees in circuit branches (ECE, EE, EEE, IT, CS): Students may also take help of their Tnpofficer for the detailed eligibility criteria and process.

BE/ B.Tech. full-time programs – Batch of 2024 and 2025 (1st and 2nd-year students are not eligible to apply)
Dual degree full-time program – Batch of 2024 and 2025 (1st/2nd/3rd-year students are not eligible to apply)
ME/ M.Tech. full-time programs – Batch of 2024 and 2025 (2025 graduating batch to be considered for summer internships this year)
Only candidates with a 7+ CGPA are eligible to apply. Any student not meeting this mark will be disqualified.
Participants using multiple IDs to participate will be eliminated from further processes.

Hiring Process of Walmart

Competition Structure

Level 1 – MCQ Challenge to test your computer fundamentals with 25 objective questions that need to be solved in 25 minutes.
Level 2 – Coding Challenge, where shortlisted participants will get 90 minutes to present logical coding solutions to 2 problem statements.
Level 3 – Candidates who attempt both assessments (Quiz and Coding Challenge) and have non-zero scores in both of them will be considered for the shortlist of the next phase. All top coders who are shortlisted will be informed regarding our planned interview process via email.

Rewards

Top 15 students from each graduating batch (2024 and 2025) to get a cash prize of ₹30,000.
Summer Internships Opportunities 2024 (May – June):
- Top Coders from 2025 graduating batch will be offered direct summer internship opportunities at Walmart Global Tech India across our offices in Bangalore and Chennai with a monthly stipend of ₹1-1.1 lakh.
- Additional perks like your return airfare, two weeks of initial accommodation at the base job location city, additional office facilities and benefits, and an opportunity to learn, connect and collaborate with a talented team!

Software Engineering Full-Time Opportunities 2024:
- Top Coders from 2024 graduating batch will be contacted by our campus recruitment team for Pre Placement Interviews against relevant opportunities for Software roles at Walmart Global Tech India.
- Our software engineering salaries are in the range of ₹18-21 lakhs with ₹2-3.5 lakhs joining bonus and stock grants up to ₹2.5 lakhs. Additional perks like one-way airfare for self and dependents, two weeks of initial accommodation at the base job location city, additional office facilities and benefits, and an opportunity to learn, connect and collaborate with a talented team!
